How do you hold yourself accountable?
When it comes to achieving any goal, such as improving our nutrition it is essential that we have some sort of system in place to hold ourselves accountable.
I find that my clients who keep a food diary get the best and fastest results.
Keeping track of everything you eat brings a level of awareness that can help you see really quickly where improvements can be made and where successes can be celebrated.
Sometimes a diary alone can move you in the right direction even without any nutrition guidelines in place as you are naturally going to want to make improvements if you start recording things like a whole bag of Doritos 🤪

Compare it to finances- If you want to improve your frivolous spending, writing down everything you spend or even checking your bank statement daily will likely result in less impulse purchases.
If you really want to take your accountability to the next level, having a coach can also come in handy.
Perhaps it is difficult to hold yourself accountable, but if knowing that your coach is going to be checking your food diary motivates you, then nutrition coaching may be something you want to invest in.
On top of accountability, a coaching program can provide you with knowledge and insights on the types and amounts of nutrients needed to help you reach your personal goal, whether it be to lose body fat, gain muscle or improve your relationship with food.
Think about it... maybe it's just what you need!
